Annie is currently served her second term as a board member for the International Stuttering Association first serving in 2007/2008. Returning in March 2015, Annie was recently to serve as board chair from 2016 to 2019 and currently serves on the ISA Advisory Board.
Annie lives in Southern California in the US. At 58 years old today, she considers herself very fortunate to be a part of the stuttering community, first finding support at the young age of 19. She has been a member of the National Stuttering Association (NSA) for nearly 38 years and attended their first annual conference in 1984. Over the years she served as chapter leader, board member and Executive Director (1993-2003). Annie also served on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Specialty Board on Fluency Disorders, representing the NSA as well as other local boards in the community she lives. She has attended two ISA conferences (Ghent, Belgium and San Francisco, US) as well as several other country stuttering conferences including Iceland, Norway, France, and England. Today Annie is Executive Director of a California nonprofit and stays connected to the stuttering community by speaking at local universities, presenting workshops at the NSA’s annual conferences and as a Stutter Social google hangout Host.
